Lefty Max 140 FFD oil sweat

    Hi gents ..

I have a 2007 lefty Max FFD , after 4 months hanging on the rack , the riding weather finally returns , but I noticed the bottom part of the shok has a fine layer of clear oil covering the area after a ride !

What do you think is happening here ? If I have a dry up seal , is this a DIY kind of job or could I keep riding it with a slow leak ?

Hope you guys can help. Thanks in advance.

oh, mine did that too after i hit a real big rut in a race and thought i could jump it. I went on my merry way and rode more days. everytime i had a little oil come out bellow the boot.

it's was a small seal leak.

you can rebuild yourself, you could find a local lbs that can do it. Most do not and send it to Cdale. Or, (shameless plug) you could send it MendonCycleSmith.
Lead by my Lefty............... right down the trail, no brakes.
