    Larger rotor for Prophet 800

I have a Prophet 800 with LX disc brakes front and rear 160mm, I feel I could do with replacing the paltry front with something bigger. How do I get a bigger front disc, what adapter do I get, recomendations for disc size, what is the max size the lefty can take?

    Cheers

You want one of these EBC kits which I also got for my Prophet 800

Thats a 180/185 rotor (can't remember) and its a vast improvement, they also do a 200mm rotor but I doubt you'd need that unless you're particularly heavy.

You can go up to 8" rotors. You need a rotor and the corresponding size adaptor like Karlos said. Shimano also makes adaptors to go bigger.

I changed 200mm front and back.BIG improvement.Much better control on those really steep long switchback trails that scared the cp out of me before. Put on 2,5Trailbears to handle the force right.Need to clean the big rotors with alc else vibrations and noise.
