    80mm Lefty on 2015 Scalpel

Long story short, I have the opportunity to buy a brand new Scalpel 29er frame from a friend. I am riding a 2010 29er Flash 1 with an 80mm Lefty. If I move the shorter travel Lefty to the Scalpel frame, which was designed around a 100mm Lefty, am I going to have a bad time? Would I have to get a 100mm Lefty?

Your head tube angle will steepen by about degree.

Whether this is good or bad, is relative, and something only you can answer for yourself, as it's a totally *safe* thing to do, but it will quicken up the front end for sure.
