    2009 F5 good price?

So I decided to post this question here instead of the newbie forum due to it being Cannondale specific.

There is a local 2009 F5 for sale. The list price on Craigslist is $600 with a bunch of accessories and $450 just for the bike with a set of off-road and road tires. Is $450 a good deal for this bike?

Also I know this is a lower end model for a bike. But I don't know how much I will enjoy the trails so I don't want to go over board with my spending. If I decide it's not for me then I will have no money regrets.

Also if I decide to get into this sport how customizable is the F5? Will I be limited and have to end up buying a new bike to adjust to my comfort and style?

    Thanks

I have a F4 2010. Runs good. I take it to the LBS every other month to tune it for free

to be honest im not sure. its all stock that comes with it? not deore though. thats what i have on my cannondale. i think its sram?? the thing of it is, is when we go to our shops seems the owner always has to check out our stuff.. which is really inconveniant.

The warranty only applies to the original owner and the bike had to be purchased from a Cannondale LBS. The warranty does not transfer to a bike purchased on CL.

    I don't think it's a "bad" price per se...

I paid $454.00 for my wife's 2008 F5 in March of 2009. For the money, it was a solid choice (decent components: SRAM X-5 drivetrain, Rock Shox Dart3 front suspension, Shimano disc brakes, WTB wheelset).

She has been really happy with it and it was quite an upgrade from her 1994 Trek 930...
