    '07 Prophet 4 vs. '08 Prophet 2

I've decided to buy Prophet. I need to make the choice between' 07 Prophet 4 and '08 Prophet 2. 4 model is $ 315 cheaper than 2 model. But 2 model is 2 lb lighter than 4 model. 4 model's lefty is not SPV but TPC. I'm worrying about 4 model's pedal bob and heavier weight. It's hard to make a decision.

I doubt that anyone can tell the different of one pound between two bikes but you sure will tell the different if you ever rode a lefty up front.

I will buy the P4 , especially you are saving 700 buck and get a Lefty! You could always make a bike lighter , but nothing will track like a lefty no matter what !

I have an 08' prophet2, and LOVE it. I would say go for whichever one you feel would be better, and that you'd be happier with.

I'm not quite sure why you are worried about pedal bob on the 4?

It has the fox float R on the back which is a platform shock; no bob.

TPC is the best Lefty... Superior to the SPV if you ask me.

I test rode the Prophet last week...with a Lefty. While I bought a different bike because the Prophet wasn't exactly what I was looking for, the Lefty was the best for I have ever ridden. Get the Lefty!

I would get the 07 for the same reason...
Once you had a Lefty, you'll never get bike with a 'normal' fork ever again!

I've bought P4. I'll test ride it soon and I'd like to feel lefty.

The difference between MK III and P4 on the road

'06 IH MKIII Team is mine and '07 P4 is my brother's one. I test rode P4 yesterday on the road in a short period of time. MKIII is substantially 1~2lbs lighter than P4. I felt that MKIII is much lighter than P4 during riding on the road. IH MKIII is much more expensive than P4 and it consists of more expensive and ligher parts.
I cannot ride on the mountain now because I got just recovered from fracture on my wrist. Therefore, I think I may be able to ride in the mountain about 1 month from now. I guess P4 will show good ability in the mountain. I'll let you know the difference between P4 and MKIII next time.
