After riding my friend's Ripmo I decided to get a 29er. Ive been riding my The One exclusively for several years now, and his bike climbed so much easier and faster and was pretty good descending too. The One can climb ANYTHING, but it's pushing 40 lbs with a Fox 40. I bought a Fezarri La Sal Peak and really liked it. But last week I took a road trip to the Sierra and took the Canfield and I'm so glad I did. Some of the trails I ride are primitive foot and horse trails with steep rocky chutes, ledges, and just a lot of big rocks that I would have not felt confident riding with the 29er. The Fox 36 160mm ain't a 40! And I was glad for all that deep rear travel. I'll never get rid of The One. I still think it's one of the best bikes ever. The only way I'd get rid of it is if Canfield made a carbon version with 27.5 or even 29" wheels...
