    Canfield cable stops

I'd like to file out the cable stops on my '09 One, to use full length housings. Can I do this with the brothers' blessing, or at least not voiding my warranty (assuming I still have one, I can't find any info about that on the web site)?

And while I'm asking questions, what's with interrupted housings on a bike like this anyway? There's only the one, fairly short section of exposed cable (which adds 2 points for crap to get in there), I don't see any advantage to doing it that way; what am I missing?

Drilling out the stops is fine. It won't harm the bike. We where going for the lightest 8" travel bike and that was one of many things done to achieve it.

Thanks. I ran it as designed last year, but it's wet enough where I ride that I'm willing to live with an extra ounce of housing.

Needle files and some time, here's the result if anyone is interested:
