    Canfield Brothers Warranty Policy

    As we are seeing customers compiling builds for their new bikes, we wanted to post about recommended fork lengths on our frames. Our frames are designed around a specific range of fork sizes to give you the best possible ride and handing characteristics. Mounting forks longer than what is recommended will negatively effect the geo and handling of our frames. We have strength tested our 29er frames for use with up to 140mm forks. We can not only NOT recommend installing a longer fork, we are NOT able to offer warranties on builds with forks longer than what they were designed and tested for due to the unknown nature of added forces that longer forks may generate on the frames.

    Recommended fork lengths by frame:
    Riot - 140mm
    EPO - 100mm-140mm
    Nimble 9 - 100mm-140mm
    Yelli Screamy - 100mm-140mm
    Balance 160mm (27.5), 170mm (26)
    Jedi 8

    We want you to be able to enjoy your Canfield Brothers frame for years to come. Please email us at [email protected] with any questions.

    Our full warranty policy:

    Canfield Brothers Warranty
    Canfield Brothers Bikes offers a Two Year Limited Warranty;

    Canfield Brothers guarantees Canfield frames to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years from its date of purchase. The limited warranty applies to the original owner and is nontransferable. Canfield Brothers will, at its discretion, repair or replace any frame or component that we determine to be defective.

    The limited warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear, claimed defects, or failures that result from abuse, misuse, collision, neglect, lack of maintenance, improper assembly or any product alteration of any kind. Frames powder coated outside Canfield Brothers factories will not be eligible for Canfield Brothers warranty claims as aftermarket powder coating may affect the heat treatment of the frame. Builds with forks longer than our recommended length range will not be eligible for Canfield Brothers warranty claims as forks outside our recommended range will add additional forces to the headtube/toptube/downtube junction which could result in damage to your bike and or injury.

    The original owner is responsible for shipping products back to Canfield Brothers and any labor and/or transportation charges associated with the repair or replacement of all parts under this warranty. Proof of purchase from the original owner is required for all warranty claims.

    Crash Replacement:

    Canfield Brothers may offer frames and components at a minimum charge to the original owner for warranty claims outside our warranty policy. Canfield Brothers offers this at its sole discretion and reserves the right to refuse this offer at any time.

    Hey Vin, glad to see this information put up here.

    Would it be prudent to add what the A2C measurements are for the forks you recommend with each frame? I know there are sometimes drastic differences between certain manufacturers and the actual fork length and the travel it has. RockShox tends to have very short A2C measurements when compared to Marz or X-Fusion, for instance.
