Anyone running 2.8" tires on their Balance?

If so, interested in your impressions and experiences.

On my 2016 Balance, I have a DHF 2.6 up front and a DHF 2.5 in the rear. The 2.6 is quite a bit bigger. I think the 2.6 will fit the back end but I'm not sure a 2.8 would work.
Work expands to fit the time allotted...

In the balance photo thread Lance (flymybike) posted a pic with a 2.8 recon on the rear.

I had a 2.6 slaughter for a while and there was plenty of room for more.

On the front with a 2016 stage a 2.6 Butcher is a tight fit.

I ran highroller 2 2.8 on mine fore a bit it was a traction monster! Had a good time but ended up killing the tires because the speed the balance will let you go kills weaker tires such as plus IMHO.

Also ran HR2's 2.8 on my Balance for this past shoulder-season/winter mud, snow, slush. Great for low-speed clawing through sloppy barely-rideable gunk, or winter group rides (behind all the fatbikes). Tons and tons of room on the rear, no problems with mud clearance.

I couldn't tell you anything about how it felt "cornering" or at any kind of "speed", since if it was nice enough for that sort of riding I'd have been on 2.5/2.3's. 12-14PSI on 32mm internal rims, 175lb rider weight FWIW.

I've got a Breakout 2.5 (BIG tire, more like a 2.6 at least) on an i30 rim on the back. It doesn't have much room to spare. I suspect a 2.8 is going to depend on your inner rim width and the actual size of the tire.

How'd you like the 2.6 Slaughter? That's my next tire, i think.
