That's funny...I actually just ordered a purple Nimble 9 on Monday to get me through this lull in Canfield production.

I have a lightly used Large Raw Riot for sale on PB. Will also sell frame alone...for those of you that need to feed your big wheeled Gravity appetite!

Finally picked up my first Canfield, 2016 Balance and i can't wait to shred the central oregon trails. It took me quite a few years to find an XL frame bike and I hope they bring them back as a size Large is just to small for me. Being 6' 6" tall can be rough doing the things you want to do. Hope to one day be able to get the latest DH Frankenstein the Bros put together.

That's awesome, I've been riding an xl Yelli for three years and it's still my favorite bike. At 6'7 I feel your pain. I wanted to pick up a used balance myself to replace my nukeproof mega frame however I have learned a 160 travel bike is too much for most I ride so I was going to see what the 2018 bikes had to offer for a 140 trail beast but that slipped by and alas I have a yt jeffsy 29 showing up Monday.

Its not a dealbreaker but if its between one bike or another, its a strong consideration.

Agree on the cage option. 90% of my rides now seem to be free of a pack. But, I just want them to have something ready this coming spring and I'll be happy. Preferably the 200mm travel CBF laden beast we've been teased with

I got the Evoc Hip Pro pack and it's the Jam. Holds, wait for it, TWO BOTTLES. Or a bladder and 2 bottles! It also holds my ungainly Iphone 6 Plus with defender case and keys.

157 spacing would be great as the future should stick to one drop out.

No rush for me on the new rig as the Riot is such a phenomenal bike. I do look forward to the future bike whenever that is.

Honestly I just wish everyone would shift to the Banshee route of interchangeable dropouts for all frames. Make the frame wide enough for SB157 and then give the people what they want, the ability to run whatever spaced parts they have to protect against industry changes.

totally agree... that and some kind of flipchip at the shock mounts to make it compatible with metric & non-metric shocks ?.. I know this could be a big compromise in LR behavior for may be one of two options, but some people have money invested in 8.5x2.5 shocks..230*60 shocks are "only 14mm longer eye to eye than 8.5s..cheers

Except that you know that in 2 years the industry is going to be touting the new 163mm super duper boost standard...

Looking at chainstay shaping and heel clearance/q-factor I think 157 may finally be the limit. They will go after headtube tapering and seatpost tube size next.

At least 157 makes since in that hubs are already in existence that will work, and it should make an actual difference in strength and the ability to run mid sized (but not plus sized) tires. Pluse, I think that if I can ride a 197 rear hub on my fatbike and have no issues, then a 157 should be fine.
Just another redneck with a bike
