    for the ONE:

a word of warning though, Canfields are NOT friendly to dangling parts...the linkage acts like giant scissors so I'd take care of that if you get one

would it be possible to run a 180mm fork and 191 rear travel without decreasing the head angle to less than 64 deg?
too bad theres no such thing as a Uturn Boxxer ( wonder if thats a homebrew possiblity since they run 35mm tubes like Revelations etc)

The 180 Fox 36 is the same Axle to crown as the 40- so no problem keeping the 64.
But remember- the new Anglesets from Cane Creek- get you 1.5 degrees either way on Head Angle.

thats good to know. No answer yet on Uturn Boxxer but I'll finish printing the parts manual pages for similar RS diameter forks and will see what can be learned from that comparision
I just have to think a 203mm travel bike that can really climb would be the bomb...question is how to get there

The One is in poduction now, I'll post pics as the bikes start to come together.
The DJ frame is also in the works. Finalizing the details like adding a brake stiffener tube and graphics. It will look just like the proto.

What? That bendy downtube just looks all wrong to me! That's not going to stop me from getting one though.

I'm completely indifferent to graphics on any bike. Nine times out of ten, I don't even notice them.

Lance is 6'1" and that frame is between a medium and a large.

A quick size recommendation- how I fit everyone-
    <5'8" Small
    5'9"-6' Medium
    5'11"- 6'2" Large
    over 6'3" XL

Yea, the curves are more gentle, wanted a more smooth look and the strength is better this way.

Heres some more candy, Jedi side plate! I wish you could see these in person! OMG

Just hung up w/ Chris King support on a question about the cost of a wedge type bearing cap (called the GripLock, ~$30 MSRP), and the guy pointed out a couple of new models of HS: http://chrisking.com/headsets/hds_inset
Model 4 (top & btm) & Model 5 (top only), allows the use of a zero stack type of setup w/ a 1.125" steerer in a 1.5" head tube.
The got me thinking: by using a zero stack type HS, and bringing the crowns to the top of the stanchions (on a 888 or 40), you might be able to drop another degree of HTA, albeit sacrificing some BB height and A2C gain...
But since the rear end is so tight w/ the short c-stay, the BB height gain might be negligible...?

Chris - whatsup man. We spoke a few weeks ago for about an hour about the new ONE. You said pics might be up in 2 weeks from than you your website. So curious to see what the new, less curvy downtube, and black ano, look like.

That is one of the prototypes that was ridden all last season. Last year was our 10th year in business so we did gold, no gold this year. We'll have Black, White, Red, Blue, Orange and Pink. Orange and Pink only on pre-orders. Main frames will be in anodized black and Titanium (a kind of grey) color. There is three mounting position on the new Jedi, there in welding today!! Heeee Haaaa!!!!

Dug it up? That's my bike, in my bedroom. It is for SALE. You must be the guy who asked about buying it - to then post some "insider" pictures. Anyway, if anyone needs a small, it's the 2011 Proto and it is FOR SALE now. I am getting a super duper rad special one from Chris. PM Me and I will hook ya up. And yeah, gold is not an option...but you can have a one of one

hey chris i met you on MLK jr's day here in pacifica. i was the guy riding with the shovel in one hand on my way up to boyscout to build, You know the 48 year older guy that thinks he's still a kid. anyway your proto one was a sick phat looking tube frame too bad you didn't have more time, i wanted to give it a really good once over because now i'm not sure if i want the jedi or the one now that i've seen it and talked to you. so if you ever come back here let me know...oh yah and you said you liked this place and wouldn't mind moving here, don't forget to bring the bikes if you do...Ralph
i need to ride more. building jumps takes to much time...my other hobby is kicking the crap outta my home built mook jong.

I don't know if it is just me, but the geometry pictures on the bottom of the page are barely/not readable at all. (Mac, Chrome)

The "ONE" is the same as the Jedi- Welded now- but waiting to go to Ano and paint.
Should be shipping to customers in Mid to late March.

Put I have to head over and replace my bro- at the factory and build up the frames.

None of the tubes are hydroformed. Everything is done mechanically so the tubing gets thicker when shaped instead of thinner.

The decals colors will match the link colors with a polished portion of the frame inside the outlines.

Here is all the One geo sheets, not hi res but should be readable.

Pricing world wide should be what it shows on our site plus shipping and dutys.

I must have missed the change to a 64 head angle on the One. What's the story on running it with a 160mm fork? Realistically doable or is it pretty much 180mm+, freeride and DH? I was looking at potentially making this my future AM (and anything crazier) to take on heavier stuff and complement my Banshee Spitfire (set up for trail use with a Revelation, etc).

Angleset is your friend. running it in reverse you could make it 65.5

Yeah. I am just wondering how a combination of that and different fork lengths ends up affecting the general behavior of the bike. I mean if the BB height is at 13.8 @ 64, what is it at at 65.5? Seat tube angle, etc etc.

It's a great way to run this bike. A 160 on the front will drop the HA to 65.6 degrees. You can get a as steep as 67 degree HA with a CC Angle set. I'm planning to build mine with a Fox 180 talas so I can drop to 140mm climbing and have a 66 HA, but I'll get a Angleset too so I can play with it a bit. A 36 160mm Talas would be a good way to build it if your not using a Angleset.

Seat tube angle will steep when you drop front travel giving it a better climbing position. The seat angle steepens about a half degree per inch shorter fork. The BB will be around 13.5.

Glad to see you are not going the same route as other larger brands. Your reputation for building great riding durable bikes is why i picked up a 2010 jedi this winter. When i first saw the new shape of your frames this year i got a little worried.

The One will come with all the shock options. Elka has been very popular. Air shocks will be nice with this bike too. No shock is an option too.

Any body want to pre-order my first child so that I can get the new Jedi?

Available in 9-12 months, production begins upon receiving payment. Excellent gene stock. You MUST guaranty accepting delivery of the baby as both my wife and I will be too busy riding our Canfields to care for it.

(Just in case someone wants to get upset, the above is a joke. There is no way I would risk getting stuck with a baby just to get a new bike.)

    One Tabs???

...wondering why you are still running ISCG (old) on the ONE still instead of ISCG05... Hammerschmidt seems like a good fit for some. Is it a clearance compromise? Do you see the old standard sticking around for a while yet?

P.S. Also willing to trade First Born directly for a medium Jedi, though I'm considering a One. I figure you might be able to use it in your "third world" factories as " child labor"

They do follow the link colors- white with white-
Only Black is different- it comes with the white-

As for the Xfusion- We like them a lot too.
We need to get the xfusion on the site for orders- Cause we do offer that as an option too.

I noticed Lance's production bike is using the InSet while the proto was using external cups. I think you guys had a published HTA of 64 w/ the ext cups HS. Did the HTA slacken by going to the InSet in the production frame or is it still 64? I'm curious on what the fixed HTA is as I have no plans on using CC's AngleSet.

The headangle goes from 63.7 with an external headset to 64.2 with an internal. I'm a steep headangle guy and I'll be using a angleset and playing with it. I've tried bikes as slack as 62.5 and it's ok for really steep but pushes in the corners. I like steep for precise steering. 64 degees is a great place to start, should work for everyones prefered HA.
