Vail lake under new ownership?? Bike park in the works?

Rode there last week and noticed thatís itís now a KOA campground, didnít think much of it, paid the 5 bucks and rode. As I was finishing up I was chatting with another guy that was just finishing up his ride and mentioned that since KOA took over there was ďsupposedlyĒ going to be building a bike park as part of the deal? Again, just going off what I heard and was curious if anyone had any info pertaining to it.

That would be awesome. If someone with enough private land were to open a bike park in San Diego they would get rich quick. The area is primed for such a riding area.

I'll try to ask Jason, but I have my doubts. If we're lucky we'll get to continue more of the same of what we have. I remember the water district was trying to fight to reduce access not long ago.

Thanks for the input, probably going to ride there maybe tomorrow or Sunday and see if I can stop in the office and figure anything out. Trying not to get my hopes up haha

Jason has talked about building more trails out there recently, but I don't think a full bike park is in the works there. KOA is the new management company, but the property is still owned by the water district

Does anyone know if Vail is OK with shoveling? The jump line out there got a little beat up from rain and I'd like to fix a couple of the biggest jumps on it so I can give them a go. Thanks in advance.
