    MTB'ing in Burbank

Does anyone hit the trails in Burbank just east of the 5 fwy? I'm going to be moving my shop to the N Hollywood area nearby and I'm wondering if those trails are worth riding. Trail Forks shows a handful of trails:

but after watching the few YouTube videos up, I'm not sure if they are really worth it. It appears to be mostly fire roads.

I did find this one video that looked interesting. Anyone know this trail?

    Any other recommendations? Thanks

Verdugo Mountain is mostly fire roads. A great place to keep your legs strong and with great views. Wildwood Canyon/Ridge trail is hiking only. La Tuna ST on the back side is OK. There are plenty of paralleling trails along sections of the fire road higher up along the ridge line that give you an opportunity to have a little fun on the way back down but this area is by no means a ride destination. Use it as a place to stay in shape on week days, and then drive a little to places like the Santa Monica or San Gabriel Mountains for more ST options.

The video is an example of the paralleling trails along the ridge line.

Got it, thanks for the input. Was hoping there might be some singletrack near work I could hit for a quick lunchtime ride. I ride mostly in the Santa Monica mtns. Looks like I'll have to wait til I get home to ride.

The trail in the YouTube video you attached is the top of Stough, right before the first radio tower you would pass to continue on towards Verdugo Mtn Motorway. The single track goes about 1/5th of the way back down, then fireroad the rest of the way. You will have to pedal 3 miles up to get there first, and itís a burner lol
