    Bike rental near San Clemente

Iím trying to rent a bike somewhere around San Clemente area during a family visit. Anyone know of a shop with decent rental fleet? All I can find are beach cruisers.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Bike rental near San Clemente

You might have to drive a little bit north to Newport Beach...try Pro Bike Supply. I know the have (or used to) a demo fleet of great bikes like Yeti for the Laguna trails around there. Tiny but savvy shop. https://www.probikesupply.com/

If there is no traffic and that's a big IF, you can be to Pro Bike Supply in 25-30 minutes. Their rental fleet isn't the biggest but NO SHOP I've ever seen has rental/demo bikes built up like PBS. Most of their demo bikes have carbon wheels, Eagle drivetrains and Factory suspension.I drive up there from Oceanside to demo bikes.

Bonus...the rate on demos is $65 if it hasn't went up and in return, you get $65 store credit. Most shops say "good towards bike purchase" but PBS let you use it on anything in the store. So the minute you return the bike, you can use your $65 credit to buy a jersey, hat, tire or whatever you want in the store...

Thatís awesome info k2rider. Demo ride and walk out with some gear. Nice!

Now being able to finally ride on carbon wheels has me concerned... Iíll probably fall in love - just donít know how a set of those is fitting in my suitcase for the flight home.

I haven't used them for rentals, but cycleogical bikes in Dana Point offers rentals.

YT is a great place to demo, but I'm not sure if they allow you to pack up the bike and ride it elsewhere. Everyone I have seen demoing YT just rides at the nearby San Clemente Single Tracks. It is free though so it may be worth it anyways.

They are set up to do exactly that. Trails are right there. Jeffsy is solid bike and is available with an incredible build spec, I've been riding one for the last 8 months.
