    Sounds exclusive.
Sometimes you eat the trail, sometimes the trail eats you.

Yeti president, Chris Conroy, is Chairman of the Board for IMBA. IMBA and Conroy oppose bikes on the TRT through the Mt. Rose Wilderness, on the Western States Trail through Granite Chief Wilderness... and on any trail in any Wilderness area. And Georgetown isn't really #moretrailsclosetohome. Phuck Yeti.

I do not own a Yeti. But why in the world would IMBA be opposed to bike access on already legal (and awesome) trails??

My personal backlash for IMBA and Yeti undermining the only legislation congress has ever discussed and voted on in favor of MTB access anywhere.

I mean this in the nicest way possible (but not really) don't you have a Facebook group you can advertise this on or the Yeti forum...

You would really cut down on the number of posters (like me) who just want to bitch at you.

The area EB is referring to is not legal, thus his comment.

OP, are you like a Yeti "brand ambassador" now, or do you just really like riding with yeti folks?

    So these are illegal trails?

Other than that I'm trying to figure out why this guy is getting so much flack for organizing a group ride with fellow Yeti owners. Its no different than a group of Corvette owners going for a cruise down HWY 1.

A lot of Yeti hate these days...

I personally love seeing as many brands out on the trail as possible during group rides to check out but to each their own.

In the end, it's Friday fellas. Great weather and we're all blessed to be riding bikes. Ride well, happy trails and rubber side down!!! WoOt!

Because it's weird to post an invite to "Yeti only owners" in a regional forum to ride trails that anyone could ride.

It's just not the right venue for that. Why he didn't choose the Yeti forum or something more specific. Idk.

Instead he is saying - **** off we are the TRIBE. It's not a good vibe and doesn't reflect the inclusiveness you generally see among mountain bikers.

I'd organize an all Diamondback ride for the bay area but I'm the only mountain biker living here that's broke enough to buy one.

And now you know why you don't want to ride with Yeti riders... Try and ask a question and get snapped at for being part of the proliteriat. How dare you question the Tribe.

My first mountain bike was a Diamonback from Play it Again sports. I don't remember much about it except it was too big so we went and got a BMX to use while I grew into it.

Booking a whole days worth of shuttles for riders of a particular bike brand is douchey.

If someone did a Pivot bikes day I would say the same thing. (I ride a Pivot)

I was under the impression that you need to reserve your spot and that its open to yeti owners. 17 spots available, probably because only so many heads can shuttle at a time, when did this become private?

Why would a brand ambassador be focused only on existing users. He must be a Tribe Shepherd - to ensure that no one strays.

Really.... I posted here because its. Norcal thread and it's a way to inform Norcal Yeti riders....I ride with others on other brands.
I happen to be a Yeti enthusiast and it's the brand I ride..

This just happens to be something I organized, simple as that....

Ride your bike whatever brand and enjoy...

On a good day, and I got it. I just didn't want any emotionally fragile marin bikes riders to get any ideas that would potentially send them into a deep lonely depression.

Private.... That's the part I'm missing.

    The land is private?

You need to reserve your spot and be a yeti owner, how is that any different than someone posting about an upcoming race where you are required to be USAcycling member, pay for registration, and own a mountain bike?

There's the argument that this should have been posted in the Yeti Forum, I don't understand that either. He's not trying to attract riders from Australia or Taiwan, its a regional gathering. So, its more of a NorCal thing than a Yeti thing.

What bothers me is spreading negativity and hate, something I have not seen come from the OP, but there sure is plenty of that coming from some of the posters.

Hopefully, with all the posts here every Yeti rider in NorCal has seen this thread and knows to sign up for a shuttle. Wouldn't want a member of the Tribe to be left behind.

The envy is real around here. Not sure what is worse in NorCal riding a yeti or riding an ebike.

    The land is private?

You need to reserve your spot and be a yeti owner, how is that any different than someone posting about an upcoming race where you are required to be USAcycling member, pay for registration, and own a mountain bike.

No. This land /trails are run by the very public USFS, as a designated OHV park.

Reinhold sorts this all out. The Yeti only exists in your mind, it's a mythology, but in reality it is a Himalayan snow bear, and that is a proven fact......you must understand legend versus reality.......
