Where is the best sevice shop in the East Bay?
I want to find a a really good shop with people I can trust for all my service work on my bike. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks again.

I've gotta plug my favorite LBS here. Eden Bicycles in Castro Valley. They wouldn't be my favorite LBS and I wouldn't wear their kit on rides and 'cross races if they haven't always shown me kick ass service.

my favorite shop is the peddlar in El Sobrante. They have always been extremely helpful and have done last minute repairs for me when i was in crisis.

Quality/Convenience
Where are you located?
I have two shops which take great care of me but some of that is because I have built up good relationships with them over the years, enjoy the staff and ownership, and have had a presence in the local MTB High School League for the last 2 years. They are also the two closest shops to my house. As you can see these qualities have not mentioned any wrenching and may not work for someone who just walks in the door and expects the world. I know arider who doesn't like the "vibe" in one of the shops and prefers the other; the "other is just down the hill from his house and he has gone there since he started as a BMX kid.

I also like the Pedaler in El Sobrante. Bought two frames from them in the past 4 years. Have not used them for service since I do my own wrenching, but they are a cool group.

Medina Cycles
These guys are real pros. They did a build for me and the little details of the bike setup instantly improved my riding. Talk to Tom.

nod to Medina as well
aka Wrench Science. The only "custom" bike shop in the bay area. They do it right...

On Park Street a few blocks after the bridge.
