What color goes with purple ano???

    HALP....

i am expecting my frame sometime in February (fingers crossed)....I have a sexy set of Purple Ano Industry 9's (my wife gifted me) and I am trying to figure out a frame color that works (ugh)

I do like a high gloss dark root beer brown (almost black) with white lettering....or a regular rootbeer brown

    any other suggestions?

and yes...i am giving my brain a rest at work trying to troubleshoot some ridiculously hard to track bug.....meh...

I always wanted to do a grey and purple build. I think that would look cool.

Grey and purple sounds like it could be cool. You typically see purple contrasted with lighter colors like yellow and white, but a lighter shade of grey could be pretty sweet.

I had a Marin Pine Mountain that came all decked out in purple ano. The frame was a faux titanium finish that looked pretty cool with it.

Black and blue. Wait! Those are CHUM's typical post-ride colors IIRC.

    I like charcoal grey.

Try green. Not Hollywood/kermit green, but a british racing green or "Hunter" green.

Closest example I could find: (but would look better with more green, less purple)

yeah...the analogous blues look good w/the purple bits......get yellow complementary decals, have him do the panel decals (negative space ones). straight up primer gray or the tequila piss color i think baycat's talkin about's good too....come to think about it, poo brown works too...w/yellow decals. good luck.

    Complementary color

According to the color wheel this will work but you really have to be able to rock this pairing. When I saw this I realized that my 86 Marin Palisades had this combo.

The intensity of the green depends upon the intensity of the purple and the amount of highlight that show through the anno.

    HA!....sorry 'bout that.

I have a Hunter 29'er SS frame (steel) + curved supercrown fork coming in about a month (fingers crossed).....

number 1 choice would be nekkid steel with a clear powdercoat....not sure if he will do it though...gotta ask (i understand it's a pain in the butt to do right)

second so far is root beer or grey....but 'tequila' may look freaking rad....

    i'm so confused

That pic was just stolen off the internet. Not mine.

If I had my druthers, I would sport a 1991? Yo Eddy. The green one that had clearance for 2.5 tires.
