    Waterdog Tuesday

I showed up to ride with my 8-hour team mate yesterday at Waterdog and these merry bunch of hammerheads showed up. 8 hour, 24 hour racers and this dude who did a 90 mile mtb ride were there.

What commenced was a brutal 7 mile ride. Tburger and Shri got shellacked.

Then we played at the trials area for an hour.

Then we had beeritos At Coyote. Lime Steak and Devils Canyon hit the spot.

p.s. Next ride, Thursday, Skeggs, 5:30. Be there!!!!

Nice pounding to loosen the legs up... lol We had a good crew last night it was a lot of fun. It always gets me how Waterdog can trick you like that... Feel like you just gave yourself a beating then look at the mileage and feel like a sissy...lol

Yeah, uh, thanks for the ride, I think.

Let me tell you all, if you avoid group rides because you think you're too slow, or you're afraid of making people wait, you're missing out on a lot of good times with good folks.

My buddies and I were there just this morning.

We were glad that the teeter-totter was adjustable. We went "extreme" by setting it to the lowest level.

Just moved to Newark and started riding at Waterdog to replace my Joaquin Miller 'fun' rides. Amazing how such a small park has so much singletrack. Those dozen or so switchbacks on the first climb of the advanced ride, from passion trails, sucks.

Yeah, but 7 miles at your pace creates more pain than 90 miles at mine
