    Tolay Lake Regional Park

Has anyone ridden at Tolay Lake Park in southern Sonoma County? There was an article about its official public opening in the Press Democrat last week, and apparently biking is allowed. 3400 acres is a ton of space to develop great trails, but currently only 11 miles of trails exist.

Have not ridden there but did hike the east ridge trail many years ago during a RFP site walk. I remember it being a steep old Ranch Road. From the trail map it looks like the new West Ridge Trail may be worth doing once for the views. I think all of those existing trails would not be fun at all and probably busy with hikers and families.

I haven't been up there but was just talking to a friend who hiked it. Almost all fire roads, gradual grades, and a 360 view. I'm thinking it might be a good place to get in a workout ride when the other trails are too soft and muddy.
