    TNJMPR October 3rd Edition

Thursday Night Joaquin Miller Park Ride. This Thursday, October 3rd.

I'm back and ready to ride. Ready to roll at 6:15 p.m. from the Sequoia Bayview trailhead. Pace and route to be determined based on arguing at the trailhead/on the fly, or by suggestions in this thread.

Post up here if you have questions or think you're coming so we have an idea of how many we'll have.

Also, bring lights. It'll be dark.

I will be there with a light, a wool jersey, and some beer to share.

I haven't been able to make any but happy that someone got this going and there are folks keeping it going. It's a great little fun park!

I don't know if it will let me link, but here:
    https://www.serfas.com/shop/products...ht-300-lumens/

I think it's the USLA 8 Orion Blast headlight. Definitely not worth $90, but it's good for a spread light at lower speeds. I think we won it in a raffle or as a race prize.

I'd also like to put on record that somanygoodbikes cleaned the crazy steep uphill at the beginning of the Sinawik Loop trail. That shit is steep.

It was real busy in JMP when we started riding last night. Thinned out real quick when the sun went down.

Good times. Back at it next week.

Makes plenty of sense since that's what time the park closes (sundown). Say hi to Chippy, the OPD rook with an axe to grind. Just tell him you thought you were still in Redwood Regional Park (open until 10pm)

That was surely once the case, as I recall signage posted around the park saying it closed at sunset, but it isn't there anymore.

Follow these links, if you dare:

Go to the city website and look at the parks section

    https://www.oaklandca.gov/topics/parks

then under Featured Resources, see "related resources"

    https://www.oaklandca.gov/resources/...o/topics/parks

See "Download a list of park hours"

    https://www.oaklandca.gov/resources/...-of-park-hours

    Which redirects to this:

    https://www.oaklandca.gov/documents/...-of-park-hours

    which downloads this

    https://cao-94612.s3.amazonaws.com/d.../oak046388.pdf

    JMP is open 6AM-9PM

    Not sunset!

I WAS planning on meeting up on one of these but I broke my ankle proper in Sedona now 6 weeks ago. Still in walking boot.
I have an intensive PT scheduled so hopefully back on the trail in November in a limited capacity
