    Tahoe - Mr. Toad's conditions

Does anyone know the condition of Saxon Creek trail? Still too much snow for this weekend?

Any info would be most appreciated.

    Danke.

Dunno, but I just rode spooner to kingsbury last weekend. Hit limited patches of snow, about 15 minutes of hiking. The rest of it was beautiful. Hope that helps. If anyone has trail conditions for Hole in the ground I'd like to know!

Good job! Rode Toads solo in '03

Some of the locals had pavestoned some of the faster berms, and even late in the season (last week for N*), the trail was great due to some local love. Waterbars on fireroads at the end are fast and far Thanks Guys

Still snowed in when I went up to Castle Pass with the dogs earlier this week. Maybe half the road is under snow. The good news is that the sign upto Andesite Ridge is now visible with snow level upto the bottom of the board.

As of yesterday, there were about a dozen patches of 2' to 3' deep snow that added a nice curveball to the upper tech sections - particularly the 'waterfall' section, which had an unavoidable snow spot near the bottom. The mosquitoes were plentiful, and the size of small rodents, so it helped to keep moving. The climb up to the trailhead from the 89 is all clear, and the Saxon creek DH is all rideable.

In other words, it's in fantastic shape.
