    Tahoe Meadows/Incline Area Trail Question

A couple of weeks ago I was in Tahoe, and we were doing our usual shuttle runs of Tyrolean Downhill. We used to park at Tahoe Meadows and pedal to Tyrolean, but recently we've been parking in the dirt lot one mile short of Tahoe Meadows, just off to the side of Mt. Rose Highway. This parking area is at the junction of Incline Lake Rd and Mt Rose Highway, and saves some uphill pedaling to Tyrolean.

Anyways, we noticed a ton of cars at that parking area with bike racks, and other mountain bikers, but pretty much saw no one else on Tyrolean. What other trails are those riders doing in that area?

Probably TRT>Flume>Chimney Beach, or something similar.

We did that ride too, on our recent trip. It definitely seemed that for the number of cars we saw parked, we did not see enough riders on the trails we rode. We wondered if people were riding good trails (unknown to us) on the other side of Mt Rose Highway (toward the North Shore).

There are some trails on the north side, but I'm not familiar with them. There's also Ophir Creek, which heads down to Carson, I think.

Also, other rides from that start point are loops starting with the Rim Trail to Snapdragon, Red House Flume and Sunflower Hill trails

Another route from Tahoe Meadows is Rim Trail > Tunnel Road > Incline Flume > Tyrolean DH

I just wanted to make sure there is nothing that I am missing in that area that is as good as Tyrolean DH.

The Incline Lake trails can be fun. Direct access off the Relay Rd. You can hook up with the far end of the Incline Flume below the old hwy and either take that directly across to lower Tyrolean or ride the old hwy back up higher.
Stuff up there has gotten pretty icy, especially any stream crossings so take it slow where you need to.
Extend the whole ride by dropping the Tamarack Lake Trail to the east as an out & back at the start.
