For sure, I'll definitely get more detailed photos when I go get it.

Here's a couple pictures my friend took.

Letís make sure everybody knows what is being talked about. If you were too young or not born yet, or maybe living under a rock in the 1970ís.

I seem to recall seeing that saying more on bumper stickers on the back of 1970ís conversion vans than mud flaps on trucks though.

I was born in the Fifties and I recall the sequence of words being ďGas, Grass, or AssĒ. Perhaps in order of the likeliness of getting them.

I agree, this is the order in its original form. No comment regarding which was easiest to "get".

I agree also. The one I posted is wrong in its order. I stand by my conversion van bumper sticker vs semi truck mudflap comment though.

    ^ Nice, saved to follow.

Curious what everybody is using the two small compartments In the bed of their Taco for?

I normally just toss bike stuff in there that I donít mind if it gets stolen. Lube & rags etc.

But today I found a new use for the larger compartment. I was in hurry leaving the house and had a ďto goĒ meal with me that I microwaved prior to leaving. As I pulled off to eat it I realized I didnít have any sour cream which really improves the dish. No fast food places close by to pull in for a side. I was forced to run into a grocery store. I purchased the smallest one they had which was way too big for what I needed for the meal. Living in Colorado has its perks with some snow patches here and there from the last storm. I tossed the sour cream container in the compartment and packed it full with snow. Should be fine for several hours away from my home refrigerator, that is if I remember itís there later.

Anybody care to share what they keep in their two compartments?

Any MacGyfer emergency storage ideas I described?

I pulled this photo off the Net. The aftermarket locking mechanism is a great idea, looks like a future purchase for me.

The Taco hate is strong at Motor Trend.. Or maybe it's a 3rd Gen thing because even 1st and 2nd Gen owners bag on 3rd Gens.

I had a bit of Taco envy this weekend. Trev and I went snow wheeling outside of Grass Valley and got stuck. We tried to get unstuck for a few hours and were unsuccessful. He called friends for help and a rescue squad of badass Tacos showed up to help a few hours later. Then they got stuck...... and so did the badass Jeep and the stock Range Rover that were coming in from the Hwy20 side. lol

    Taco envy-4zp6zxg.jpg

It was a total sh&%show but we finally got everyone unstuck and back to Hwy 174 around 1am. The Range Rover was so stuck that those guys left the rig and spent most of the next day getting it out.

Everyone had a blast though so despite the general crappiness of the situation we all had "fun" and have some good stories.

This was cool until it wasn't.
    Taco envy-l2uftxw.jpg

Cleared the puddle but stopped too soon and high centered
    Taco envy-dwlm7em.jpg

Which then led to sitting in the truck running the heater and eating Gummy Bears to stay alive.

2nd Gen Taco: Oops, That's deeper than it looks.
3rd Gen Taco: I'll pull you out but let me turn around first.
    Taco envy-jec3ne2.jpg
    Taco envy-m32tzyg.jpg

3rd Gen Taco: Well damn. That's a lot softer than it looked.
    2nd Gen Taco: F'ing rookie!
    Taco envy-8xcyb6t.jpg

Let's get the hell out of here before we get really stranded.
    Taco envy-3pi1ybk.jpg
    Taco envy-unsb3dk.jpg

On the way out we ran into a newer lifted Tundra who was a couple feet away from sliding down into the ravine! He lives up there and stopped trying to get unstuck to avoid sliding down the hill. We tugged him out and continued on. No photos of that.

It ends well. We started our trip at 1pm and I got home at close to 2am. We were stuck for around 8hrs. lol
    Taco envy-h6mfz48.jpg

Well except for the Range Rover.... It didn't get out till 5pm the next day. eek!

Most definitely! It's the next on my list. They make a cool winch mount for my truck that doesn't replace the entire front fascia so I don't have to shell out for a bulky steel bumper right away.

Yeah I need to get one. I left my chainsaw at work otherwise we could have tried filling the ruts with large branches to lift the undercarriage off the ground. I need a taller bottle jack for that to be effective though.

Wasn't that from a couple years ago on the Tahoe side of the Rubicon? If I remember right they got stuck in the snow and hiked out, then the jeep got buried in a huge storm.
