    RIP Paul Sherwen

At this years Amgen Tour of California I was able to participate as a traveling course marshall and got to cross paths with Paul and Phil on several occasions. At the arrival of our Tahoe hotel I was standing at the workers U-haul baggage truck when Paul and Phil arrived in a nice rental car. I may very well have been the last person on this earth that Paul flipped off when I asked him to bring my bags to my room. RIP. You will be missed.

I may not have the best of everything, but I have the best everything that matters.

I always laughed when he made his "reaching deep into his suitcase of courage" comment.

    RIP Mr. Sherwen.
Why Johnny Ringo, you look like someone just walked over your grave.

Can't imagine listening to the TDF without him. So many colorful descriptions of the riders and their efforts. And of course an amazing knowledge of the history of the race. He will be missed!

This really ****ing tears me up. Best 3 weeks of tv every year. Not hearing his voice as part of the TdF is going to change it forever. I bet Phil is a wreck /sad

Yeah, his (and Phil's) commentary made every televised bike race better.
