Ridge at Demo is pretty messed up with all brush clearing that's been going on.

Closed till 4pm! You still have enough light if you are at the top by then.
Each time I've been up there, even a little early, it was all clear by then..just be ready to play cool, stop and go back and wait it out if they are still working.
Shame how they wasted Reach Around. It was like they made sure there was absolutely no possible way to see the old trail and put logs and big branches across the way...kinda messed up if you ask me.

was that the name of the side trail that had the fun little tree/log obstacle? Was sad to see that obliterated.

The whole act of doing fuel abatement on Ridge Trail is messed up. Hopefully they don't decide to "fix" braille and flow to protect the forest.

    Ran Demo on Sun.

The log drop on the right side of the trail is still there... Not sure what Reach Around is, but there is a feature on Cusacks that matches the description.

The work on Ridge so far is from Sulphur and towards Aptos Creek Rd. It's still rideable, but there is some debris, some parts of the trail are wider due to them driving the equipment on it, and in some places they have made new wide trails parallel to Ridge. So far, I'd say most of the features and technicality on Ridge are still there, but it is a bit worrisome as far as the rest of the Ridge trail goes.

They've certainly cleared a lot! Also on Aptos Creek Rd. You can now see the ocean way earlier than before... And there is less shade on the climb.

Another interesting thing I noticed is that there are now signs (new, I think) saying that Sawpit Trail is *temporarily* closed. Previously, it just said it's closed, period.
