yea that set of wheels isn't but, I have another set that is tied n soldered.

Rich Adams is going to be there this year. I bought the bike from him in ...2002? He was in San Francisco then and has since moved back home to Penn. I chose him because he's not only a very skilled frame builder, experienced bike mechanic, and all around nice guy but, he's an engineer as well (thus his logo).

Anyway we're going to attend Saturday, hell...I may even sneek in there tomorrow. If you seem me there say HI.

Just a heads up. The convention is not held in the main building. It is actually held in the giant blue tent in the rear.

hey watch ur step, my dog peed under that over pass where you are standing!

OHHH man the bike bling I saw tooooday! Maybe Sir Francois will post some pics soon. Us unofficial types weren't supposed to take any photos, (HUGH YEAAA RIGHT!). Anyway, if no photos make it up in the next few days...ya never know just might materialize, muhahaha.

Oh yea, lots n lots of 29ers, track bikes, cross bikes, and some wayyy over priced stuff as well. I got a glimpse of a couple BMX bikes too. I predict, that will be the next big thing.

Anyway, lots of nice bikes, friendly folks, and many familar faces. It was definately worth my time. Oh and either bring your check book or lock it up!

Yep, good showing. Lots of great bikes. The vanilla trike alone is worth the price of admission to see. Some great talent as well as good people there showing their works.

    My Favorites:
    - Vanilla trike (yeah, it is that cool)
    - Rock Lobster lugged road rig with sterling silver head badge
    - Wolfhound's 4x hardtail
    - Ahearne racks and lug work
    - Retrotec tandem and bling roadie
    - Merlin engraving work

Lots more, those are just my favorites. The finishing was also great. Spectrum had many examples of great powder finishes. DeKerf had some nice wet finishes. Sycip showing off some nice powder work on their frames and Patrick frames. Keith Anderson had a great candy swirl wet finish on one of the wolfhound frames.

If you don't have anything going on this weekend I would recommend spending a couple of hours checking out the show.

    Spicer there?

Does anyone know if Spicer is at the show?

I'm going to miss going today, however that'd sway me to get up earlier for tomorrow.

    stolen bike alert

I come with bad news. Bikes were stolen at the show on Saturday evening. At least 3 builders were hit but I only have details on Mint Cycles. Mint is an off-shoot of Titus Cycles and based in Arizona.

Thefts here are particularly bad since these shops like Mint care very small companies and are trying to bootstrap and grow their operations. One stolen bike hits them very hard.

    Here's the info I have:
    ------
I would like to ask your permission to use your photos of the singlespeed 29er as well as the S3 29er on our webpage because those two bikes were STOLEN out of our booth and we are desperately trying to find them. We believe they were stolen between Saturday night and Sunday morning but event security claims to not know anything.

    thanks,
    christina / mint cycles
    --------

So please be on the lookout in the Bay Area, CA and in the online classifieds/auctions. If you have info email [email protected]

    Here's the two stolen bikes:
