Pinto Lake pump track in Watsonville now open

    Very cool

    https://www.kion546.com/news/new-pum...J-oSrytXNGivXY

The messaging is very, very good:

"stay active, have fun and keep out of trouble"

These are the kind of wins that rally city leaders and the community to support mountain bike trails in the future.

And as important as it is to use these facilities, it's also good to get news coverage, spread the news to the community and commend the city leaders for making it happen.

    Anybody live near there?

    Awesome for the folks there.

Santa Cruz is close but the traffic on Highway 1 is insane.Pinto Lake pump track in Watsonville now open-screen-shot-2018-10-23-2.33.39-pm.jpg

I take the family for beach weekends in Watsonville. Rent a condo, spend some time on the beach, BBQ, bonfires... now I might be able to add this in too. Thanks for the heads up FC.

Safer than Santa Cruz these days.

I've been to that park before, not sketchy. Lots of families. Different socioeconomic situation then most of us for sure. I plan on checking out the track in the future.

the profiling, racism, and elitism on this site is sad. I lived and worked in the community for over 15 years, much more real than the fake bubble of Santa Cruz. Corralitos is also right down the road, I'm sure some of the prices are comparable to your peoples manicured aesthetics of what is habitable.
