Photo Assignment: Water flow and waterfalls

Take some photos of your local creeks and falls. You'll see them in their full glory maybe.

    State location pls.

Locally, Fall Creek in Felton and Waddell falls in Big Basin are good. But any creek now will be pretty impressive.

Give us something to do on the trails this weekend at least.

Not water flowing, exactly, but a result of the sierra cement in Truckee yesterday:

"It's only when you stand over it, you know, when you physically stand over the bike, that then you say 'hey, I don't have much stand over height', you know"-T. Ellsworth

Lots of trees down, branches everywhere.
    30 mph winds overnight.
    The creek is flowing.

Actually only 2.5 seconds, f11 with a polarizer and 3 stop ND filter.

Very nice. I used to really be into photography but got rid of my medium format rig. Just have an old Nikon D300, and a lot of Nikon glass. Need to get back into it.

Wow, a very bright day and rapidly flowing water.
    Nice shot and edit.

Thanks. Pretty shady and dark in the woods. You made me doubt if I had the 3 stop filter on but just did all the math and certain I did. Longest exposure of the day was 20 seconds but here I was exposing for the highlights in the water so underexposing by probably 1.5 stops. Photo geek stuff...
