    OT (the other) World Cup

I was misled by the other World Cup thread - it's about a ball-sport!

So what do you think about the UCI WC DH and XC racing this weekend from Val di Sole, ITA? The rain really upended DH qualifying on a tricky track! Next weekend is Andorra, so some good opportunities for AM beer-drinking before the ride.

Hey - the women's XC Short Track is on live right now:

I like watching courses that are as gnarly as possible. (As long as Iím not racing them). Think Gwin at MSA last year. Danny Hart back in his classic Champery run.

Here is a great website that it looks like Giant factory rider Eliot Jackson made himself.

Yep that is an amazing site, indeed.

Too bad the Gwinner and Pompon are already out with injuries.

Imma report you. This thread is mistakenly labeled as OT when it is not. Do you need a TO?

Aw man, how out is Gwin? It was amazing in Leogang that he was taking everything slow and looking truly injured and cautious, and then unleashed a heroic 2nd place run on race day!

    Thanks for the link Ryan!

Ha - I was just trying to mimic the other thread title look and feel - I'm on a 5 minute TO now with a self-installed dunce hat.

Well my day ended here. Had a small crash in practice this morning and landed right back on my thumb. Kinda canít believe it, Iím so bummed. Trying my best to ride again tomorrow but thumbs pretty destroyed now so weíll see. Iíve given it everything I had to push through this injury the past month, happy with my effort but the outcome is definitely disappointing. Thatís racing, success is never owed. Looking forward to moving past this and getting back to full health. Thanks everyone for the support and messages, Iíll give ya another update tomorrow 💪🏼👊🏼

    A little time to burn?

Check out day 2 practice with the ever-excellent Ben Cathro sipping 17 year old whisky in the AM and providing insider info trackside while trying not to run afoul of Red Bull's rules about commando news footy:

Watching MTBing of all disciplines is awesome and may get even better. Since EWS joined UCI they are might start televising EWS on RedBull TV. Sure beats the trash TV like Kardashians or Housewives from somewhere. Lol.

With my biggest salary rider Myriam Nicole out before the race even starts, I may not be so lucky.

Come on Luca Shaw. Been so fast, but so much bad luck + crashes.

Andorra WC DH this weekend is steep AF! Here is a link to a Brendog training run and although the Gopro Effect of failing to show steepgnar is in effect, the second half of this course (beginning after 2:35 ish) is nuts! As always, there will be rain, too.....

When I do leave Norcal, I will probably retire in Andorra. Very tax-friendly.
