OT: Gvmnt Shutdown Could Delay Release of New Beers

Politics about the shutdown aside, I think the general consensus here is that beer is good.

Unfortunately this affects all beer, craft or not that is sold in stores.

Existing beers are fine, but new seasonal beers from your favorite local brewery are on hold too.

    Homebrewers need not fret though!

    Here's what is affected: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/governm...ed-whats-next/

And: Deep into a tough flu season, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be unable to support the government's annual seasonal flu program. And CDC's ability to respond to disease outbreaks will be significantly reduced.

I kinda was trying to avoid the heavier side of the shutdown in this thread. Mods don't like politics. And we know how that goes. Just ask dchester

So does that mean we can bike in national parks right now time to go down the mist trail in Yosemite (ignoring that it's probably covered in snow)

Time for a new label for helping (x) “Government Shutdown IPA” all brewers will make one, make own labels, donate proceeds to furloughed workers.

Great idea! So, 800,000 furloughed workers, and Resilience is expected to haul in $15 million, so what's that per worker?

Edit: $18.75 per furloughed worker. Man, they'd have to sell a lot of Gov't Shutdown IPA.

Yup! If a$$holes can cut down Joshua Trees in the park then I doubt anyone but a Marin nimby would bat an eye at a mountain bike in Yosemite.

There are some US Govt lands not covered in snow (nearer the coast) that perhaps you could go ride right now. Please report back how it went.....
