Hey, do us all a favor & get a bike and some clothes that we can see!

Edit: Here's the video I got of Crimson Wind, or as I call him, eVan, jumping the firepit at Boggs.

Great weekend, big fun. Thanks to all who showed up to share in the good times. I took very few pictures, and none that were worth sharing. Great to back home clean, and warm. No so great to be back at work! See y'all in Downieville.

Name change was a success Gary.

Can you upload the picture of me jumping from the back?

Good Weekend. Good food. Happy that JC had the idea of building a jump.

Hmmm, not sure which one you mean. I don't have it on my flash drive from home. I'll look for it when I get home.

Edit: Not too sure about that name change! I was thinking eVon or eVan, like eBay, or even eVaughn, like Stevie Ray.

Boggs was as fun as usual, even with the small MTBR representation and UCD camped with us. Good to see everyone. I kept AussieBob's tradition of the dutch oven cobbler alive. By all accounts it was tasty.

This is the only one I could find, and I hate to post it 'cause it's so crappy (yeah, I know- it's never stopped me before). I wonder if I was using Ed's camera? I took a few shots with that, you know. You might ask him if he's got it.

Ok. Last time I unearth this thread before it sinks to the bottom, like a Huffy thrown off the Golden Gate.

Just wanted to shout out some THANKS to:

Uncle MTB for "hosting" the damn thing, and bringing oodles of firewood (and firewater), for the afore-mentioned jacket, for the flamethrowing firestarter gizmo (worth its weight in gold!), and the table. I'm sure there's more, but my memory ain't what it never was.

Moschika for picking up the growler of Pliny (I was a Pliny virgin!) I ordered (and to jrm for passing it along without sampling it).

Fast Ed, for bringing the tequila/margarita mix and assorted brews, and turkey meat & shells for them delish tacos.

Ogre/Fiona for the bacon & bacon & scrumptuous scrambled eggs, and for the x-tra firewood.

John Castellanos for unselfishly looking at anyone's bike when they were having an issue with it. Moschika bent his derailleur hanger on a ride at Boggs, and John worked on it until it was working better than before. And props to John's wife Marissa, who kicked royal hiney on that singlespeed!

The unnamed guy who provided the spacers needed to put Tim's 'new' fork on, and thanks to Dan'ger for taking the time to install it (I'll be forever awed by all the camping stuff you guys brought & set up & tore down). Thanks, too, Dan for taking the time to bring all the stuff needed to cook up the weiners to feed a hungry group of guys after the Rockville ride! That was frickin' awesome to not have to go somewhere & eat, and to just sit in the sun/shade & shoot the *****.

Remembering: That great prime rib dinner in town (thanks for driving, Chris/Evan), and the killer beer we had with it, a dark & rich Death & Taxes (out of??). Hope I don't owe you any more $$- if so, let me know!

The fire jumps were great, of course, but so were the rides. Boggs is SO awesome, and the trails were in great shape. Pine needles on top, with sublime tackiness underneath. Just wished I had gotten a couple more rides in, but that was my fault I didn't. I must have weird schedules, because it always seemed like I was waiting hours for a ride to start, or I just missed one. I'd suggest setting start times & sticking to them.

Pats on the back to ME for: Cleaning out the loo on the last day, and bringing extra rolls of TP for the *****ter (God knows where that wound up), for bringing a buttload of kindling, for taking almost ALL the pics, for providing the rest of the ingredients for the tacos, bringing the asparagus used in the Ogre's scrambled eggs, the strawberries & blueberries, cleaning up the campsite after Sunday night, picking up glass around the campsite from previous visitors (and can we end the tradition of putting beer bottles in the fire? It just makes a dangerous mess for the next group), for taking some of the garbage/recycles home, firestarting in the mornings, and putting my tent far away enough so you couldn't hear me snore.

    Sorry if I've forgotten anyone/anything!

Pics, I gotta million of 'em!

Lots of pix of eVan from you Gary. Starting to think he may be the fruit (no pun Evan) of your tenderloin and Trailseeker has been raising him all these years to keep him out of the Valley.

What a great trip it looks like you all had! Johnny Free Ride making a showing and still hitting the drops and shutes that got him his namesake, FE with that puzzled look on his face while holding the tequilla bottle, like he was trying to figure out if the kids had been sneaking some of it while he was passed out, and re-filling with agua. Priceless. Loved Evans firepit jumps.

Yo Finch Platte - and the befriending gang at Boggs Memorial weekend 2011,

Great meeting everyone - Tim, Gary, Dennis, Char, John and others.

I officially donate my shovel (for what it's worth) knowing it will go to good future use I hope. Though it doesn't come close to compensate for the great memories, friends and the best Cherry Cobbler (Fiona) I experienced.

I hope to keep in touch and hook up again

    Lanny - AKA - Stick
