Oakland folks, I need a place to stay Thurs/Fri nites

Our family is gathering in the Oakland area to help a sister move, and I need a place to crash Thursday & Friday nights. I could get a motel room, but Motel 6 wants almost $300 after taxes, and that's too rich for my blood.

We could go out Friday night- you could show me a brewery or two, and it's on me.

PM me if you think we could make this work. Close to Pacifica would be ideal.

    Thanks!

I could help you out Friday night in San Ho if you can't find anything closer.
Ride fast. Huck bravely. Waste no beer. Safety third.

Ok, I appreciate the offer, but I'll need to stay closer to her place.

Actually we drove by Hogan past Spring and I said i knew of a guy who rides out that way, so she already pretty much knows you. Then we saw a huge eagle's nest atop a telephone pole near some place called Wallace I believe.

Yeah, that was Wallace. Another nest down the road, too, on a pole. Pretty big mofos!

Depending on exact locations, Pacifica to Oakland could easily take over an hour in commute traffic. FYI.

IOW, you want to be close to Pacifica Senior Living Oakland Heights.

Not Pacifica, which by itself as a location in the bay area means a town an hour away from that location.

(Sorry, I can't help this week. I'm not in OAK anyway, but closer than Pacifica!)

$1k for a shed with plumbing, AC, stove, and a mini-fridge... Iím sure you can find worse deals in the Bay Area.

I'm actually thinking about taking a sleeping bag and sleeping in the car one night.

Thanks to Picard, who let me stay at his "house" in CalGary, BC, for a modest fee. He was in several times a night to see if I was "OK", but after he got too handsy, I decided that Motel 6 was the best bargain of all, so I drove back to Oakland.
