Grouse was rad, only way down is to ride. I left some line markers for those who want to try before the rains come.

I’ve often gawked at that slab from the other side of the waterfall. How was it?

Looked at purpleair.com on Saturday, whole bay area looked pretty bad, so I decided to drive out to Exchequer Bike Park for the first time.

Reminded me a lot of Crockett Hills, if it was built better.

Broke my 2 week slump with a spin up Emma/UConn and down through Wilder yesterday. Beautiful out but so many ebikes, probably every other bike I saw had a motor.

My route outline for Saturday at Coe was up Donnelly » Serpentine » White Tank/Rose Dam » out&back Pacheco Creek Trail » Coit Lake » Tule/Grizzly. At Pacheco Camp I ran into Shred Chic with a couple friends on their way to camping at Dowdy.

    Pictures...

    Pacheco Creek Trail at Heritage:

    Coit Lake:

    Crest Road:

I crossed path with a friend's group a few times and ended up finishing the day with them. 4pm at the top of Tule Pond Trail and the shadows are long:

We did 4 laps yesterday and saw a handful of ebikes. It did not affect the quality of our ride!
Ride fast. Huck bravely. Waste no beer. Safety third.

The problem with ebikes is now everyone looks at each other’s drivetrain to ‘judge’. He, he, he...

I like a sprinkling of smug with my slowness

Seriously though, one thing that catches me off guard is the e bike rate of climb when I am descending opposite, especially on Lower grade trails such as Emma or englesman.

i am seriously considering one for commuting, that obrea e gain all road looks pretty sick and you can’t tell it is an e bike, at least at a passing glance. This tree work on 17 has been killing me when I leave late.

^ I've heard that smugness is the last thing to go. It's a daily struggle! Commuting by ebike seems like a perfect fit.

Wow that's a long haul for you!

Hope you liked it. It's the one thing (MTB-wise) the Central Valley has going for it.

Same experience on my singlespeed. So many geared bikes. All but 7 bikers had gears .

Right, what is with all the squids with freewheels. Real riders ride fixed wheel.
