Any good maps or more detail available. Thanks.

    Update...
Is this the area above the old Eagle Mtn biking camp? Not sure if that is the correct name, but I vaguely remember something I read about a mountain biking camp around the Emigrant Gap/Hwy 20 area. In Bike magazine about 5 years ago. They mentioned a multi day camp that went into skills and such, and also had its own network of trails. Thanks for any help. So much good riding in that area from Auburn all the way to Tahoe.

Not really. The good trails in the area are on some maps (Loch Leven, Cherry Point, Salmon Lake, Meyers/Monumental), but not others. Plus it is not obvious how to string them together. I'd be happy show you on a ride. Note that these trails VERY technical. If you've ridden Lakes Basin northeast of Downieville, these are more difficult. If you like slow, technical riding, you'll dig it. Otherwise, you'll hate it.

Yes, this is near the now defunct Eagle Mountain resort.

Thanks for the info and the offer. Will be in the N Tahoe area for 4 days mid August. I usually hit Hole in the Ground on the way up, but could always change that. A friend of mine lives up that way in Meadow Vista above Auburn. I'm sure he would like to join in too.

    Did you hit monumental??

What would be your route for stringing together LL, Cherry Pt. Salmon Lake.....to monumental? Start at Loch Leven? Lake Valley?

    Yup

We hit Monumental too. There is no good way to explain this, I would just have to show you.

Not really. A few downed ones, just enough to keep it interesting. I love that trail!
