No tuesday Slacker ride this week but...

Next tuesday you will tell you boss you feel horrid, and come out and ride a mini epic at annandel. We are shooting for 30+ miles and intend to hit as many known and little known trails from starting time (@2pm) until the sun goes down. So get your work excuses ready.

    Surfbike

It's a surf bike. I've never been on one but I saw some guy try to ride head high surf on one. I'm sitting in the line up looking for sets when this guy pedals by on a surfbike. I thought I was in a Fellini film. The guy got worked!

Basically, it's a bike mounted on a large paddle board. When you pedal it turns the propeller and the handlebar turns the rudder.

    They are very Euro.

What does it take to qualify for a "slacker ride"? I would love to join you and try and hang on for a full 30 miles, but coming back from a cold might make me even slower than i am usually Where do you meet for the rides? It sounds like a lot of fun and I'm just getting to know the park, so I'm sure I could learn plenty about new trails. I think the sound of a cold beer at the end of a 2-3 hour ride sounds just about perfect. As the FNG I would be willing to be a "primary beer sponsor" for my first slacker ride. Thanks

This week we are being really masochistic for some bizarre reason BUT slacker rides are not usually like that - anyone is welcome to come - if this ride doesn't seem to be your cup o tea then how about the next week - I promise it will be more mellow Maybe tamarancho in fairfax? Keep tuned.
