    Madjya look!

Stating the painfully obvious. No Demo ride this weekend. UCSC instead. 10 am, Hwy 9 lot. We'll play Follow the Silly Green Bike through lots of cool trails.

Or in the other thrread you say dirt lot. Is that the dirt lot prior to the gate at cowell off 9 or the dirt lot past the cowell entrance on the leftf?

Yes, Pogonip parking lot. That's the lot on highway 9, about 3 miles north of highway 1.

Get there around 9:45 and be ready to ride by 10. That way, we'll have time for a little mexican

The lot may be full and you might have to park somewhere else along the street. Leave a little extra time.

Ride will be 2 to 4 hours. We'll start it slow and give outs and break up as needed.

For directions and a warning about the trails, email me at [email protected].

Hey dscot420, you are working for Mike? Have we met? I know Mike, Brent, Andrew(schwillis)and Hap pretty well. Tyler is cool too but I do not know him as well. Just got my bike back from them on Wednesday.

Man, wish I could make it. I crashed on a double at a secret spot and jacked my shoulder up. Plus I have to watch the kid tomorrow when I get home from work.

    Have fun!

You're awright young man! Great riding skills and awesome attitude. I heard you crashed. Everything good?

It was a grand day at the forest. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. The place wasn't crowded and it seemed we knew evryone that was in the canopy.

That Cowboy lunch place is awesome!! Newcastle on tap. period. Yawn... just woke up from my two hour nap.

So sounds like UCSC was fun today I was over camping in Henry Cowell. We got busted by the Ranger for being too loud late at night, but he was really cool about it After riding on the fireroads out there (Nothing special) I'm in the mood to do some riding out there in UCSC. May by the Bay hopefully

    Crashed? Me?

    Hey Francois,

Yeah I crashed, and I had actually specifically planned to not crash today.

My front wheel washed out suddenly as I wasn't paying enough attention to the traction situation. I took it on my chest and arm, kinda knocked the wind out of me, but by the time I caught up to you guys I felt fine.

I payed a little more attention after that...

Well worth it in any case, it was a blast.

Funny, i got the wind knocked out of me on the climb and i don't remember falling at all...

Cheyenne, I'd give you ride of the day. The stuff you cleaned, on that bike; that's some skills.

fc cleaning that climb, oh vey.

The trails and peeps were really nice to me today. I got picked up, a clean bike prepped and ready for my riding. The weather was awesome. Didn't eat mud like last week. And in a few days, if I don't get any PO, that would be the topper.

Too awesome. Nice grub at the end to top it off.

I went home and cleaned someone's mtb and enjoyed the warm sun on my face. Life is good.

    What type of clean?

    I sure hope that wasn't a Climb-Kennedy-in 35-Minutes sort of clean.

[Edit: I think I'm getting it now - you borrowed someone's bike that you were cleaning for return?]
It's not slow, it's doing more MTB time.

It was a 'your bike is far too dirty to be in my house kind of clean'

i'm working on the 35 minute clean; may take a while and involve a fair amount of pain, i mean fun.

You're into a lot of cleaning.

I was referring to yet the other cleaning you offered on the Kennedy climb thread:

I assume no one did that on the last climb? (But Francois may be close...) What's the MTBR recent record on your Wednesday climbs for that hill?
It's not slow, it's doing more MTB time.

I dunno. I only put in about a dozen days per year at the shop. Just enough to keep my foot in the door for good bro deals I have worked for Mike off and on since he was over at Family Cycling. He usually calls me in when there is racing that they want to do. I will be there next Saturday while they do the Mtn. Charlie climb. Can't say I am too sorry to miss that one. Charlie is tough enough for me even at my pace (slow). Not my idea of fun to hit it at race pace.

We'll get to the records in due time, we're still in the fun ride weeks. I'll move the rest of this response to the Kennedy thread.
