Monkey Butt Ride - Santa Teresa County Park tomorrow - Who's Down?

Meeting a guy (Mike) tomorrow (Saturday, 28th) to show him some trails on the CX bike - anybody else wanna do a rigid ride tomorrow with us? Suspension bikes welcome, but rigid skinny tires is more'er funner.

Photos will be taken, so make sure you comb your hair.

Harry and Camden trailhead in San Josie @ 10:00am.

Also, why not start at the stile ranch trailhead or by the golf course?

Damn! Would love to do it (was just there today), but I have to prepare for a chili cookoff ($200 prize, I got second place last year) so the morning is going to be devoted to that alone.

If you're riding hard tails.. I'm not fast enough. But I already knew that.

Just to "run into" each other for once, I'd go get in your way on the trails. But unfortuantely I have plans for riding Saratoga Gap already. Maybe Sept. 4. Uh, that's next Saturday, isn't it?

I live about 1000' from that starting intersection. Makes it easy to get in a quick before-work ride, looping around and back down Stile Ranch. I love coming in that way with it's nice creek side singletrack.

    I'll look for the photos.

Oh, and at a dinner the other night, Shredchic said she thought you were amazing.
It's not slow, it's doing more MTB time.

Thanks to you, BigLair and Shredchic!

You won't be too slow, though... honestly. I really only push myself when I ride by myself (which seems opposite of what most MTB'ers do). These rides are definetely no-drop.

I had a wonderful road ride today on my retro. From Almaden, climbed up Camden, turned left onto Hicks, climbed up to the Sierra Azul entrance, descended, went through New Almaden, McKean to Harry, climbed Bernal to IBM, descended, spun all the way back to Almaden Lake Park via Santa Teresa... I rarely road ride and the Surly just makes doing it so fun.

Shellac'd cork grips and friction shifting was like butter. In a world of super-advance stuff, I can't get over how this stuff just works.

*It's a Surly, you just ride them and all else falls into place.

~No go for me, figuring out a possible move, etc. still.

Hit me up via pm if you decide you want to roll Sunday morning out there, I just have to be at work by 10:30.
