Tonight is the last night to meet and talk with key UCSC administrators about the issues of trails at UCSC. Campus administrators need to know how important these trails are to our community. Here's our opportunity to speak with them in person.

    Thursday, October 24 from 5:30–7:30 p.m.
Seymour Marine Discovery Center, La Feliz Room
100 McAllister Way, Santa Cruz, CA 95060

Anyone go to this? Any update? Nothing on the MBOSC website? Bueller??

If I had been in town when this happened I probably would have gone, but honestly over the years I’ve gotten kinda jaded since it seems like nothing ever goes anywhere whenever this comes up. In the 15+ years I’ve lived and ridden here, there has been exactly one new development in that area, which is the EMC trail.

Hell I remember talking about this back in 2006:

    More recently, beginning of 2018:
Action Alert: Protect Trail Access at UCSC! Ask UCSC to plan for trail access in 2040 Long Range Development Plan! – Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz

Anyone remember discussion of a downhill-only trail in Pogonip back in 2017?

I really don’t want to be that jaded old guy, really… but it’s getting harder. Really hoping to hear something to un-jade me. But just any details about what happened is better than nothing...
