MBOSC: Big Basin Old Growth Classic Race Announcement!

Big Basin Redwoods State Park was established in 1902 and is California’s oldest State Park. It is home to the largest continuous stand of old growth redwoods south of San Francisco. And for the first time ever, a mixed-terrain bike race is coming to this iconic place.
MBOSC and Ibis Cycles are proud to present the Big Basin Old Growth Classic, a mixed-terrain bike race being held as a benefit for State Parks. A 55-mile route will take racers on a mix of paved and dirt roads that wind through towering redwoods with views of the Pacific. The Old Growth Classic is a full weekend festival, with camping included Friday and Saturday nights, live music, great food, and more!

Interested in volunteering? We're already looking for volunteers to help at the event! If you'd like to add your name to the list, please complete the volunteer interest form here. You'll get to experience all the fun of the Old Growth Classic, while feeling good knowing that your help made it possible.

That's all we can share for now, but more exciting details will be revealed soon. To make sure you're in the loop, keep an eye out for emails from MBOSC, and follow Old Growth Classic on Facebook and Instagram.

Cool! About time too. Big B has some of the best mixed terrain/gravel routes in Northern California. I'm sure Johansens, Gazos Creek Rd. N. Escape Rd. and China Grade will be included.
