Looking for some worn out tires

    Hey Guys,
My kids have this power wheels thing with plastic wheels. Those suck, they spend half the time spinning out and are incredibly noisy. So i'm looking for some old tires that anyone is getting ready or has procrastinated on tossing out. I've struck out at the LBS so far and I've tossed all my old ones as well. Anyone in the Sac area got some they've been meaning to get rid of?

I have a bunch, too. I'm in Stuckton.

Are you going to cut them to fit?
I wouldn't even get my hair cut except it's near the liquor store and it seems like my eyebrows need trimming now and then.

The governing body has stated they are permitted in the undeveloped and hardscape areas. Read: The wife says its ok but stay out of the plants.

I did this to my kids electric quad a few years back.

    Cut the bead off.

Cut sections of 12" long or thereabouts. This will allow the natural curve of the tire to lay fairly well down without wrinkling too much.

Then use a bunch of short wood screws.

Been running good for three years now.

Looking for some worn out tires

Took the kid on canoe trip last weekend so it took a while to get to it but here it is. Not a great looking pro result but should achieve the desired result. Before and after

    Thanks Bum!

    That actually looks really cool.

Edit: And those tires still look plenty good to run on my bike.

Two of them had small slices (one wtb one maxxis) and the judge and vig was at 50% and 29er which I dont have anymore.

    Nice,
Wish I would have seen this sooner. I think I have a pair of 26X4 Maxxis Fat tires sitting around...
