Looking for a ride Sunday, 9-12

Anyone got a good one happening? Skyline? Slammin' Balls? Hell, I'd probably drive to Annadel.

    Hogan? HAAAHAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I'll probably be bringing Olivia with me.

Evan and I are up for a ride at Skyline tomorrow. Gotta coordinate the schedule with my wife, however. I will post again after we talk. Or PM or call me. Where's WG. It won't be the same at Skyline without him!

Oh, that would be very cool. Tell your wife you have a friend who will explode if he doesn't go for a ride with his buds

I've got your number- I won't be able to respond to posts on the board after 4 or 5 today.

    I'll let wg know, too.

Nice ride, short & sweet, with a most excellent BBQ afterwards. Perfect weather.

WHAT WAS WITH THAT WEIRD KID??

Thanks, all, for showing up! Riders: Chris, Craig, Gary I, Gary II and Dennis.

On to a couple of pics.

    Chris (Trailseeker)

    Plenty of shade

Did the Hike-A-Bike From Hell/To Heaven... (tried to avoid getting pics of us pushing our bikes )

    ...and down the other side...

    Kick- err, stickstand.

Gary II on yet aother switchback. What form! What finesse!!

(Sing to Judas Priest) Hiking a bike, hiking a bike!

    C & C both being awesome.

    Dennis, keeping his cool.

Dennis again, with my patented Fromunda shot.

    Framed by a tree.

    And they all come down.

See you at Bear Valley (not Big Bear!)

    Gary I

Hey Finch how did Olivia do on her new 29er?

She told me that morning as she was leaving my house that she was just getting used to the new setup

Finchee, thanks for the inspiration to get together and ride Sunday. The day was perfect in many regards. It was a shame that Olivia was too worn out to even ride bikes with. Luckily, she took a nap and was able to ride back at the picnic area with all of us later.

I don't know nothing about the kid, however. His dog liked us, however.

Things are looking up for a trip to Bear Valley weekend after next, however. Here's a few pics.

    Looks like Skyline.

What is the one area with the insane amount of tightly spaced switchbacks that you were hiking up? Remember it from last time I was there, singletrack after the long hiek with the bike on the back was worth it.

Not sure what the trail is called but it's above the lake. Here's the GPS track:

    The switchbacks are mile 4.3-4.9.

Isht, the truth is out. 12 miles in a little under 5 hours.

Gotta ease up on them breaks, boys!

You didn't start & stop the GPS at home, did you?
