... and if we just ... Kmax do you like Nelson?

After having a short lived moment as a downhiller due to my wife refusing to shuttle me. I wasn't about to climb anything or any hill.

So, our ride of course starts off with a.....Hitch Hike!

Of course, i didn't tell AliB about my hitch hiking plans because knowing her, she would want to climb up.

After 10-15 minutes with no luck of finding a ride we started to slowly pedal up the pave road.

Luckily, after a few minutes we found the nice Orkin guy to give us a ride at the top of the mountain.

The weather at the top went from 68* to 56* brrr.

From the top of the trailhead, the trail is 99% blistering fast downhill through the giant Sequoias.

This is my 2nd time here and my wife's 1st. The folks around here really takes good care of the trails and i love all the trailside features. from Jumps, to log rides and rollers. Reminds me a lot of my little favorite trail in Santa Cruz. You might have heard of it...Soquel Demo.

Dirt is nice and soft when you fall.

These giant trees are just amazing.

Majority of the sections on this trail makes you feel like you are on a hover bike much like in the Star Wars movie.

You can actually go through the tree and ride you bike.

The greenery of the forest is awesome.

Our plans were to camp at Quaking Aspen campground but when we checked in. The weather literally dropped from the 50's to 30 degrees. It was COLD.

So, like the sissy that we are when it comes to cold. We hightailed down to Kernville and treated ourselves with some amazing beers.

    his and her microbrew.

We checked in at our primitive campsite next to the kern river.

A bit cold but not as cold as the Sequoias.

Life is sucking right about this time

The sun sets behind some great mountains as we are planning on our next adventure.

Kmax, I meant do you like Alpine Beer's Nelson?

At first I thought this was about Nelson, BC. Then I saw the mention of Sequoias and the KRBC sign. Good stuff.

    Very nice!

And I'm very pleased to see this wasn't a thread about forbidden love between our very own Kmax and Nelson34.

I'm extremely bummed about that. This place needs spicing up.
