Setup the DVR, go ride, come home and watch football without all the prognosticators and commercials. Oh... enjoy a beer or two as well

No way would I give up a ride, and I'm on the road tonight. I will be watching the Padres/Giants game when I get home.

Got to work early and snuck out at lunch to get a work out in! Ride tonight cancelled and I re-shuffled my whole weekend to sit on the couch on Sunday and watch the games all day.

Now starts the season of big Saturday rides, early Sunday AM work outs and buffalo wings all Sunday afternoon!! Man, I love football!

I need to get my priorities straight like ya'll. What was I thinking....

But seriously...meeting up with some friends for beers in a few hours to catch the game. I dont like Tivo for sports because it doesnt feel right to me watching a game when you already know who won. Its just me...

I haven't watched a live 49ers game in years, and I watch almost every game. Maybe three times in the past five years have I found out who won beforehand.

Watching a full game in about an hour is awesome!

Seattle vs. Patrick Willis is in the later afternoon. Perfect timing to get a ride in before.

And I can watch the rematch tonight before Jersey Shore.

How do you know who won if you are on a ride

I enjoy watching football and having a few beers. Or maybe its the having a few beer part that I enjoy. Either way, I'm not going to change plans to do it. Either it fits in or its Tivo.

I do, every day. Not for some lame light beer and automatic transmission sponsored crap, rather, because I am the head chef of my household. So, I do my riding early in the morning.

Thursday isn't usually a bike commute day for me so no changes to today's plans, but for the next four months Sunday rides are out of the question. Good rides yesterday to and from work, though.
MsWheels is a stone cold pro football fan, so I'll be doing my long rides on Saturdays, and my tune-up workout on Fridays. Sundays will be for playing with WheelsJr while she watches games at the sports bar and cooking football-friendly grub such as chili, gumbo, etc. Mmmm...

We did Kezar for the Giants game on Wednesday. Might be back for morning games on Sunday. The only really good buffalo wings in the city! I love Kezar.

I did my first night ride in a while last night. It was awesome and I am a happy and slightly sore man.

Then I came home and watched the game in HD with no commercials (no cable required - just a li'l antenna plugged into a tuner card on my computer) while enjoying a beverage.

"A" beverage. That's the problem with the a recorded game with no commercials. There's only 17 minutes of football and you only get one beer. But with a live (TV) game you get multiple beers. I do like watching the NFL replay games that are edited down. We'll catch those after our Wednesday rides.

It was definately a refreshing change of scenary to watch something exciting on TV. Watching GLEE the past few weeks has shrunk the hairs on my chest. I feel them growing back with a good dose of NFL. =)

Gonna do a double ride SAT to make up for missing out last night. MTB or NFL??? hmmmm Can I have both!?!! =)

Yes you can! I had planned to go ride Downieville this weekend, but my wife and kid are sick and I'm starting to feel like crap as well. Instead, I'll be sitting on my couch watching not just NFL on Sunday but a crap load of College games tomorrow.

Someday I hope to be as super hard core as some of you clearly are.

Oh God, please stop with your SOCCER. Americans love football, including this American. Rode in the afternoon, watched a little NFL, then off to see a client.

Monday night football is a beautiful thing - and I don't even have a favorite team. I just love watching the game when I have time for it.

For 20 years I have planned a ski trip every Superbowl weekend because there are never any crowds. I would never substitute watching anything on TV over mountain biking, hiking or almost any other outdoor activity for that matter.
