Highway 35 closed between Skyline Ridge and Long Ridge OSPs

    From MROSD tweet: https://twitter.com/mrosd/status/1092517505925632001

"FYI. Skyline Boulevard - Hwy 35 is closed in both directions to all vehicles between the main entrance to Skyline Ridge Preserve (about 1.5 miles south of Page Mill Road) and the INE Ranch (about 4 miles north of Hwy 9)."

Months and months before this is repaired. Looks like some serious undercut damage below the road. And I'm sure many spots on 35 are in danger.

The REAL situation could be the road to Demo Forest. I am scared for it. Our soil cannot take this much rain at once.

It's the washout from two years ago between Castle Rock and Black Road. To get arround it, you had to hoof it up an 8 ft embankment, the ride on skyline trail for a 100 yards or so. The resume your downhill fun

Or on the weekend you rode through the construction. Had to lift your bike over a tall fence on one side. Easier with two people. Don't ask how I know. I heard it somewhere...

    Entropy.

Slope is so steep that I expect a slide to take a good chunk of the hill down to the point that it won't be repairable. I hope I am wrong.

Pfff the road to the demo was closed for years between Highland and the forest no biggie. you parked , shouldered your bike and got muddy as hell climbing across the slide then got on your bike and pedaled or you drove up Eureka or manned up and rode up Niscene from Aptos. Hell we went across that slide in roadie shoes and gears for years.
