Havey Canyon in Wildcat Canyon has trees down

The last storm brought three smaller and one very large tree down across the trails above and below the Portage section. So when you bomb down that track at 15 mph be careful.

Havey has one area of about 15 yards below the Portage of sloppy mud. I tip-toed through it so the bike and shoes didn't get sloppy. Between the mud and the downed trees Havey has lost it's entertainment value. At same time it is kinda interesting.

In general, Wildcat Canyon is about 4-6 weeks behind it's normal condition. The recent heavy rains died up pretty quickly leaving trails rock-hard. Most water you see on the surface is largely a result of high water table seepage in the usual areas.

Another wet area is about halfway down the Currin trail below Inspiration Point. It s about 30 yards long. The area is soaked by subterranian drainage on the undelying rock from the Quarry area on the other side of Wildcat Road. It should be more passable in 3-4 weeks.
    I don't rattle.
