    GT singlespeed contest winner is...

We have a new singlespeeder among us. He is Jorgemonkey at https://forums.mtbr.com/member.php?u=239564

His winning Sea Otter photo is here:

The prize is a GT Ruckus SS. It is actually a pretty sweet bike. I would have no problem recommending it to friends who want to try SSing. Retail is $650!!!

Jorgemonkey is picking it up tonight. I might have to swap out that 32-16 gearing so he doesn't get discouraged with the Norcal hills.

    Thank you GT !!!!!

    Well maybe I like punishment

I actually used to have an old Specialized ground control comp, and was a FS once apon a time, until the rear shock broke and an iron bar took its place. Since I was debating tossing it, I got a SS conversion kit and got my first taste of SSing. Then as I was about to buy a downhill bike & a SS, I got married and have had no money ever since, so I'm glad to finally have one! I used to ride it up and down Bernal Rd/Coyote Peak running a 32x18. But, I need to get back into riding shape for May by the Bay, and this will be the way.

Anyone ever rode those RS Judy J3's? I've got a '01 RS Psylo that I am thinking of slapping on there. But we'll see after a ride or two.

I'll be by probably around 7:30 or so to pick it up.

    Nice!

Congrats! When you pick it up, ask francois why he put my ticket back.

We want pics from the inaugural ride.

Here he is with the loot. He says he's got a lot of upgrade plans for it already.
