    Fort Ord 09/25/2019?

Iím up from SoCal. My guide buddy tore his leg open yesterday so I have no idea where to go.

Show me around and lunch is on me!

Where are you staying? What kind of riding do you like? There are WAY better options than Fort Ord, especially this time of the year.

But... it's going to be sofa-king hot tomorrow and getting a guide last minute midweek will be tough. Still, life is always better under the redwoods. Have you ridden Nisene or Emma McCrary-UC? I would go there and make friends with a local.

Ride fast. Huck bravely. Waste no beer. Safety third.

There is a bike shop in Toro Park now. Maybe they can help you, OP. Also, it's MORCA Wednesday. Pretty sure they ride at 6pm. Otherwise park at Creekside Terrace and bust out trailforks. Trails to hit from that side, and pretty much in this order are 32, 35, 42, 82, 49, 44, 41 (upper and lower) then back to the car via 31.

(the beginning of) That trail sequence wouldn't make sense to someone following the Fort Ord trail map

I rode solo, from Gigling lot took ST trails down to Hennekens Road and followed some more nice buffed singletrack, back alongside Watkins Gate and returning to car. Man, it was warm!
