I would like to get in on one of these days, but I'd like to know if any work is planned for the actual ladder ride area. It's in desperate need of attention. Many of the features are falling apart

The ladders we built from wood harvested from the initial trail construction. The problem with fixing these features is that it will require: a substantial budget for new wood decking, carpentry expertise and a way to transport the supplies to the work site. None of which I have. The people who wanted to install the wood features are long gone. I havenít seen them at a work day in years

Think Jim would go for re-purposing the ladder area and building a pumptrack?

I like the idea, but that spot is kinda small, slanted, and you'd need a Bobcat and $10 grand. Not to mention permission.

I like the way you think. In fact I asked Jim the same thing in 2011. Its the reason why the Endor trail was created. When we went to look at the site you mentioned it was clear there was not enough on site dirt to make a pump track and it is far too difficult to get 150-250 yards of dirt to the site to create the pump track. This was when Jim Jacobsen suggested building a flow trail and IMO it was a much better idea than creating a pump track.

Jim says he will plan on repairs to log ride features on Sunday, December 16th if you want to help.

    That's possible.
I have to work really late on Saturday (2-3am) but could make a work day on Sunday if it didn't start too early. I could bring my wife, and maybe another.

Since we're limited on space, can we collect all the boards and build a new drop in to the Flow trail?

haha I didn't see the photo, but a nice drop in the trail would be cool assuming the was a ride around option.

I'm just hoping more than 3 or 4 of the 5,123 people that have stravaed the trail come out to help maintain it.

edit:sorry that isn't Endor...is Endor still a segment on strava or...?

Can't help with the numbers since I'm no longer on Strava, but I'm shooting for one of the December dates.
