Downieville Classic All Mountain Category Increases by 150 Entries!

You now have a shot to get in! Almost double the All Mountain entries at the Downieville Classic.

For those who have long desired to race the All-Mountain but have never been successful at winning a registration spot, now’s the chance! The number of entries have expanded from 200 to 350. So what was a 2 minute window to register before it sold out, might be a 5 minute window.

The All Mountain race is both the XC and the Downieville Downhill, and just finishing puts you in the Bad @ss category. If you have not done the Downieville Downhill race, it is a ton of fun, with racer starts individually spread by 1 minute or 30 seconds, so you have the trail to yourself to rip down 5000ft of descent! And the All Mountain class is the only way to race it.

Downieville Classic race registration will open March 13 at 8:00PM PST.

First part of the race is getting in!

    Set your calendar!

Post up if you get in!

    Get it!

All I can tell ya is based on the naval clock, reload at exactly 8pm, selected one, clicked register - told all gone. After having zero issues with bm tix and similar, that seems a bit off.

I tried and even sinked () my pc time just to make sure. I'm sunk. No All Mountain for me. I guess I'll bring my camera for day two

Wow, I must have been lucky. I know three people who got in, all of us right at 8pm.

The good news: with so many All-Mountain entries this year, you will be more likely to be able to swap spaces with someone who can't make it.

The bad news: this means the All-Mountain race will run well into Sunday afternoon of race weekend, assuming they run 60 second gaps (which is the minimum appropriate IMO).

Bummed for who did not get in. I've been there and feel your pain.

To those that did get in, congrats on winning stage 1 of the Downieville Classic All Mountain; getting in. Now get training. See you ripping down the course in August!

Hey fellas... Try to get in again!

I was bummed that I didn't get an all mountain entry last night... rushed in at 8 and didn't make it. My wife kept checking back throughout the day today and found it open again so I got an all mtn entry tonight around 8pm.

You just figured out the most fun option, Justin!

It's a party where a race breaks out.

It starts Thursday with dinner behind Yuba Expeditions, beer flowing, mechanical bull riding and a band! We get up there Thursday early, get a ride in, then build the river jump, and then party it up in the evening.

A few All Mountain entries have opened up, so if you have not gotten in, check your category to see if an entry is available.
