Did a trip to Spain and it was the shiznit!

I did six days of riding with BasqueMTB in Spain a few weeks ago and it was friggin' amazing. Day three was my favorite day, here's my video:

We did about three rides a day, all shuttled, with a decent amount of climbing. I had dreamed of this trip for years and years, and somehow it actually lived up to my expectations. It was hardcore mountain biking that went right up against my comfort level. I've been riding so much over the past few months that my skills have progressed, I don't know if I would have been ready for this level of difficulty earlier this year.

I was pretty afraid that it would be a typical group ride conga line. But the guides rode fast and hard and I stuck right with them at the front. So now I'm worried that my next trip (Sacred Rides trip to New Zealand) won't be able to live up to this madness.

Have you guys been riding out of the country? I'm always looking for new destinations! I keep hearing about Blue Derby in Tasmania and Finale Ligure.

I did a bunch of riding with Basque MTB 2 years ago. We spent a week doing their Backcountry Pyrenees trip and 5 days on the Basque Coast. Both were great. Awesome staff. Switzerland was another fun destination I thought was well worth a visit to ride.

Been wanting to go ride with that group for years. Love the Basque Country, been there a few times for surfing, eating and drinking... but never with a bike

Rode with switch-backs.com in the Sierra Nevada near Granada several years ago. Great fun, riding 1000+ year old trails, topping in villages for drinks, and very affordable. Would recommend.

Hahaha, very little dirt! We hit a few patches here and there.

Plenty of dirt on the Basque coast, a little rockier in the Pyrenees. A few were extremely rocky but overall there was quite a mix of riding.
